I have read quite a bit of criticism of the trigger on the 2240 on various sites. What are peoples views and what is the best way to upgrade the trigger (quality of trigger, trigger pressure etc.).

Thanks for the response Ped but being a newbie it doesn't mean much to me, I have looked on Google and I'm not getting very far there either.

Is this a particular make and if so where do I buy one.

I see Gmac do a trigger kit which appears to be similar to some of the photos I have seen while looking for prod.

prod is short for marauder pistol it's a two stage drop sear type that is fully adjustable
it bolts straight on in place of the std 22xx frame but does need either the prod hammer and striker or your original hammer modifying with instant metal

a std trigger can be made better for the cost of a lighter sear spring and a bit of polishing
there are many aftermarket trigger kits and blades but non will give as good a trigger pull as the prod one ,some come close like the stace roller trigger
the beauty of the drop sear design is that it allows stronger hammer springs to be used without them effecting the trigger pull weight(this is more for hpa converted guns rather than co2 as stronger hammer springs i've found are of no benefit  when using co2 carts)

YouTube can be your friend. This guy seems to know his onions (dunno how to get rid of the ad): https://youtu.be/sY4Am1odKd8
